What verification actually means here
Treat the Verified tick as a signal worth looking for. It is earned through identity verification, which is optional and separate from everything else, and a person on our team reviews it rather than software. Every photograph is also reviewed by a person before it goes live. Where someone gives you a reason to, use block and report.

The character of Stirling
Stirling is a city in central Scotland, long known as the gateway to the Highlands because it sits where the lowlands meet the hills. Stirling Castle stands on its volcanic crag above the Old Town, and the National Wallace Monument rises from Abbey Craig on the other side of the River Forth. The Battle of Stirling Bridge in 1297 and the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314 were both fought nearby, and the area still draws plenty of visitors for its history. The University of Stirling has its campus on parkland just north of the city, around a loch, which gives the city a student population in term time. The Old Town streets climb steeply towards the castle, so wear comfortable shoes. Glasgow is around half an hour away by train and Edinburgh under an hour, so the city is simple to reach from either side of the central belt.
