Tokens and XRP: How Paying Works
Everything paid on TheDirectory.uk is paid in tokens. You buy tokens with XRP, a digital currency that settles in seconds, and spend them on messages, calls, live cam, galleries and MyStrip. Sparks are free rewards you earn on the site, and they work a little differently.
Buying tokens
Open Tokens in your dashboard and choose a bundle, from 20 tokens up to 5000. You are shown the exact XRP amount at today's rate and a destination tag. Send that amount with that tag from your own wallet or exchange, and paste the transaction reference.
The site checks the payment on the XRP Ledger, and once it is confirmed, usually within seconds, the tokens are on your balance. If it has not confirmed yet, it is checked again automatically.

Why XRP
Banks and card companies are often reluctant to process payments in this field, so we chose a payment method that does not depend on them. An XRP payment settles in seconds, its network fee is a tiny fraction of a card payment, and it shows only as a transfer from one address to another, with no merchant name on a bank statement.
You can still use a debit card: buy XRP on an exchange you trust, then send it here. In the UK an exchange has to be registered with the Financial Conduct Authority. Like all crypto, the price of XRP goes up and down and you can lose money; crypto is not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, and we are not a bank or a financial adviser.

Tokens and Sparks
Your balance has two parts. Tokens are what you bought. Sparks are free rewards: 5 when your registration is approved, one for each day you spend an hour on the site, and more on milestone days of a streak.
Sparks buy things the site itself provides, such as a boost or a membership upgrade. Anything that pays another member, such as a message, a call, a tip or a gallery, is paid with bought tokens only.
Every photograph here is reviewed by a person before it goes live, and members who have verified their identity carry the Verified tick. Browse who is online now, or join free to message them.

For providers: payouts
What members spend with you becomes your earnings: everything for your first 28 days, then 70 to 80 percent depending on your membership. Ask for a payout from Earnings once you have at least 80 tokens' worth, to an address you have saved.
A payout needs your identity and age check to be complete. A new or changed payout address opens 24 hours after you save it, which protects you if someone ever gets into your account. You can have one payout waiting at a time; each is checked, then sent from our own wallet, usually within a couple of days.
